About Tzipora Kikov, BA, CBS, IBCLC

Hey all! My name is Tzipora Sara Kikov. I have been an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) since 2021 and a Certified Breastfeeding Specialist since 2018. However, my own personal breastfeeding journey started in 2014 when I had my first daughter. I didn’t know it then, but I would be catapulted into a whole new direction.

I knew nothing about the field of lactation until I had my first daughter and personally went through the challenges of breastfeeding. All I wanted to do was nurse my baby, but it was a hard and frustrating ordeal. Still, I was determined to make it work. I saw this as an opportunity to bond with my baby and give to her in all the best ways I could, including breastfeeding. Today, I believe I am a better Lactation Consultant because I got the opportunity to nurse my children. 

Through my breastfeeding struggles, I realized that lactation was something that I really loved and was fascinated by. I wanted to be a part of something more. I hoped to be able to help women through their own struggles and help develop this beautiful gift of breastfeeding into something incredible. I started doing my research on how I can become a lactation consultant, found a program, and enrolled. With each chapter of my studies, I grew more and more in awe and realized just how amazing the field of lactation really is. While studying, I started helping family and friends of the community and it was clear that I get a tremendous amount of satisfaction helping and guiding women in all aspects of breastfeeding.

I am passionate about breastfeeding and the special bond it creates between mother and baby, both physically and emotionally. My goal is to provide breastfeeding support with warmth and care enabling mothers to feed their babies with confidence through the highs and lows.

I live in Queens, New York with my husband and our children. In my free time, I enjoy painting, baking, and cake decorating.
